The Customer Service Representative and Category Analyst also researches market conditions in local, regional, or national areas to determine potential sales of new items and gathers information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution.

The Customer Service Representative and Category Analyst's essential job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Confer with customers by telephone, electronically, or in person.
Collect and analyze data on customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
Prepare reports of findings illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
Measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising, and communications programs and strategies.
Forecast and track marketing and sales trends, analyzing collected data.
Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature.
Prepares monthly customer sales summaries and communicates with appropriate departments.
Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities, or in the case of customer issues, to minimize negative and maximize positive impacts on business.
Utilize customer portals and web sites to analyze and provide feedback on sales performance.
Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.
Organize and coordinate customer item development process from artwork to implementation, working with assigned departments to streamline information process.
Handle and resolve customer complaints responding promptly to customer inquiries.
Follow up on customer interactions.
Handles all business interactions in the best interest of the customer and the company.
Assist AR in collections of past due or slow pay invoices.
Keep records of customer interactions and transactions.
Works with sales team to grow business.
Consult with product development personnel on specifications such as design, color, or packaging.
Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with customers and promotion managers.
Travel as required for customer product shows.
Work with other Associates to complete tasks and achieve sales goals.
Follow instructions and directions provided Director of Logistics and Customer Service and/or other members of management.
Follow, comply with and model all company rules, policies and directives, including the Associate Handbook.
